About Fiji CHRIS

The Republic of the Fiji Islands is located on the South West Pacific. Situated in the tropics between 150 degrees and 220 degrees South of the equator and between longitudes 1750 degrees East and 1780 degrees West.

The goal of the Fiji Computerised Human Resources Information System (CHRIS) is to meet the specific needs of direct and indirect beneficiaries in making decisions as regards the Labor Market of the Republic of the Fiji Islands.

The establishment of the Fiji CHRIS emanated from UNDP/ ILO/ Fiji Government projects FIJ/ 97/ 001 and FIJ/ 99/ 001 and incorporates recommendations by ILO advisors Dr William Bartsch and Mr. Daniel Clydesdale.

The Fiji CHRIS website has the following 5 components:

  • Job Matching Component

Each of the components contains the following:

  • Labour Supply
  • Labour Demand
  • Labour Market Operation
