Research Fellows - 2 Positions
Faculty of Science, Technology and Environment , Pacific Centre for Environment and Sustainable Development - FES008
The appointees will work with postgraduate students and staff within the University on a wide range of duties focusing on adaptation to climate change.

These duties will include project management, supervision of research students, developing and implementing community adaptation projects in several island countries, conducting short courses at various levels and providing consultancies to assist island governments in various matters relating to climate change and sustainable development.

Applicants must have a Masters or higher qualification in the broad areas of climate change and or environmental management, good interpersonal skills and the capacity to conduct research,design publications and provide consultancy where needed.

Preference will be given to applicants with experience in working in small island communities on development projects,tertiary teaching experience, experience with project management and who can demonstrate the ability to represent USP in regional technical meetings.

The position is available for a fixed term period of three years.
Salary Range:
F$55 280 to F$72 736 per annum
  (Inclusive of 15% Gratuity)

In addition to the above benefits, the University contributes 10% of basic salary to an approved superannuation scheme, provides airfare and relocation costs where appropriate.
